We redesigned the Martes Working Group’s website into a dynamic, interactive platform using Squarespace and Squarekicker. This global nonprofit now has a modern web design that highlights the Martes complex, supports membership, and showcases conservation research worldwide.

The original homepage (as shown) was functional but lacked modern design elements, interactivity, or storytelling. It presented the group’s leadership and bylaws but did not actively engage users or highlight their global conservation mission. The layout was text-heavy and utilitarian.
While the site delivered basic information, it did little to engage visitors, showcase research, or invite community participation.
The Redesigned Website
In contrast, the redesigned site transforms MWG’s digital presence into a modern, engaging hub for conservation. Built on Squarespace and enhanced with Squarekicker scrolling effects, the new design integrates custom illustrations with dynamic movement, giving the site personality and warmth.
Visitors are immediately immersed in the Martes complex story, with species profiles, research projects, and events featured prominently.
A Project We Loved Bringing to Life
We thoroughly enjoyed partnering with the Martes Working Group on this redesign. What was once a static, text-heavy website has become a dynamic and interactive platform that highlights their mission with clarity and impact.
The new site balances fun and thoughtful web design with the scientific credibility of the organization, creating a functional space for members, researchers, and supporters worldwide.
